Assistant Professor of English (Remote)

About the role

Riphah International University is seeking a dedicated Assistant Professor of English to join its faculty on a remote basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering undergraduate and graduate English courses, conducting research, and contributing to the academic community through seminars and publications.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate learning for assigned English courses.
• Develop, update, and align course materials with current academic standards.
• Design and grade assessments, including exams, assignments, and presentations.
• Present research findings at seminars and academic conferences.
• Publish scholarly articles in reputable journals.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings and academic committees.
• Assist the Head of Department with routine academic operations.
• Provide mentorship and academic guidance to students.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in English or a related discipline from an institution recognized by the Higher Education Commission.
• Strong commitment to both teaching excellence and scholarly research.
• Proven ability to develop curriculum and assess student performance.
• Effective communication and collaborative skills.
