Assistant Professor – Pharmaceutics

About the role

The Assistant Professor – Pharmaceutics will join the Department of Pharmacy at Riphah International University, Lahore, delivering undergraduate and postgraduate instruction in pharmaceutics and supporting research activities.

Key responsibilities

• Teach theory and practical courses in pharmaceutics, preparing lesson plans, lecture notes and laboratory manuals.
• Assess student performance through assignments, quizzes, practical exams and final examinations.
• Maintain accurate academic records, including attendance and assessment documentation.
• Manage laboratory sessions, ensuring equipment calibration, safety compliance and Good Laboratory Practices.
• Oversee inventory of chemicals, glassware and consumables to guarantee smooth laboratory operations.
• Contribute to curriculum development using Outcome‑Based Education methodology and participate in accreditation processes.
• Conduct research, publish in peer‑reviewed journals, apply for grants and present findings at academic forums.
• Provide academic mentorship, supervise internships and guide student research projects.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent in Pharmaceutics or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated ability to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Experience in laboratory management and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Strong record of scholarly research and publications.
