Assistant Project Manager – Karachi

About the role

The Assistant Project Manager will support on‑site supervision of construction and maintenance projects in Karachi, ensuring that work is executed according to design, contract specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction and post‑construction activities on site.
• Ensure projects progress smoothly, stay within budget and meet quality benchmarks.
• Execute work as per engineering designs, topography and soil assessments.
• Prepare and manage Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Bill of Services (BBS).
• Conduct land surveys, soil testing and other quality‑related tests.
• Verify contractor invoices against TCF drawings, specifications and standards.
• Record measurements, prepare punch lists and report any scope or cost variances.
• Present timely reports to the line manager and follow up on any changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, BTech or DAE.
• Minimum 3‑5 years experience for BE, 5‑7 years for BTech, or 7‑10 years for DAE in building construction.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, electrical and plumbing drawings.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Quantity surveying – preparation of BOQ and BBS.
• Construction methods, materials and safety practices.
• Soil testing and land survey techniques.
• Proficiency in MS Office and construction management software.
