Assistant Vice President - Big Data & Data Lake

About the role

The Enterprise Data Platform team is seeking an Assistant Vice President to lead the design, development, and operation of our Big Data and Data Lake ecosystem. This senior position supports critical banking applications that drive decision‑making, regulatory compliance, and operational reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and support platforms spanning Hadoop, Data Warehouse, ETL, reporting and analytics.
• Manage end‑to‑end data pipelines and ensure reliable data flow for regulatory and operational reporting.
• Lead the migration of data warehouse workloads to a Data Lake environment.
• Oversee the architecture and implementation of big‑data solutions using Spark, Kafka and related technologies.
• Coordinate large‑scale engagements, ensuring successful production go‑live for at least three major projects.
• Collaborate with cloud teams to leverage Azure or AWS services for data processing.

Required profile

• 13+ years of experience in data warehousing and Data Lake technologies.
• 5+ years of hands‑on expertise in big‑data development, design and architecture.
• Proven track record of delivering large, complex data initiatives.
• Strong understanding of data management fundamentals, governance and security.
• Banking domain knowledge is a plus.
