Associate Business Manager – Warehouse Operations

About the role

We are looking for an Associate Business Manager to lead the day‑to‑day operations of our 24‑hour dark‑store warehouse. The role is based on‑site and requires a strong focus on efficiency, safety and delivery accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the dark‑store for 6‑8 hours daily and coordinate virtually beyond on‑site hours.
• Oversee end‑to‑end warehouse processes including inbound handling, storage, stock management and order dispatch.
• Ensure warehouse performance meets agreed SLAs and KPIs.
• Implement operational improvements, set goals and monitor progress.
• Maintain Workplace Safety & Health compliance through regular risk assessments.
• Schedule and allocate resources to optimise productivity.
• Collaborate with the commercial team to manage fast/slow‑moving items, spoilage, returns and expiries.
• Conduct periodic stock‑takes and keep stock variance within tolerance.
• Coordinate facility maintenance and uphold housekeeping standards.
• Maintain positive relationships with neighbours, suppliers and delivery riders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.
• Strong knowledge of supply‑chain principles, JIT, Six Sigma and local legislation.
• Experience in stakeholder management and performance metrics.
• Ability to work independently and self‑motivate.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
