Associate Professor – Medical Laboratory Technology

About the role

The university seeks an experienced academic leader to join its Faculty of Medical Laboratory Technology. The Associate Professor will teach undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, drive research initiatives, and contribute to curriculum development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Conduct original and applied research, publishing findings in reputable SCOPUS‑indexed journals.
• Supervise postgraduate research projects, theses and dissertations, ensuring compliance with academic and ethical standards.
• Develop, review and update curriculum and course materials to reflect current scientific advances and accreditation requirements.
• Collaborate with departmental staff to foster a scholarly and supportive academic environment.
• Participate actively in university committees and accreditation processes.
• Present research at academic conferences and maintain a strong research presence.

Required profile

• PhD in a relevant discipline from an HEC‑recognized university or institution.
• 5–10 years of academic experience as defined by HEC.
• Minimum of 15 research publications in HEC‑recognized SCOPUS‑indexed journals.
• Strong record of supervising postgraduate research projects.
