AVP, Central Process and Governance Lead – Testing Center of Excellence

About the role

The Transformation Office is building Mashreq’s Testing Center of Excellence (TCOE), a centralized hub that standardises testing processes, tools and governance across the bank. The AVP, Central Process and Governance Lead will enhance TCOE artefacts, ensure their implementation on projects, and create test KPIs, metrics and dashboards for all Mashreq initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Define, standardise and continuously improve QA processes, templates and best practices across projects.
• Align QA activities with industry standards, regulatory requirements and Mashreq’s QA policy.
• Promote automation, AI‑driven testing and innovative practices to boost efficiency and reliability.
• Establish and maintain governance frameworks to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
• Conduct audits, reviews and maturity assessments to evaluate process adherence.
• Identify process‑related risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Define, track and report key QA KPIs such as defect density, test coverage and cycle time.
• Develop dashboards and predictive analytics to communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with QA leads, developers, product managers and business analysts to ensure alignment.
• Provide training, workshops and mentorship on QA processes and governance.
• Lead change‑management initiatives to drive adoption of new QA practices.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience in a global banking or large‑scale technology environment is preferred.
