Back End Developer (AI & Automation)

About the role

We Are Revolution is building the internal systems, integrations and AI‑driven automation that power its recruitment business. As a Backend Developer (AI & Automation) you will own the backend architecture, design automation workflows and create AI agents that keep the platform running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and APIs that connect internal tools, CRM and outreach platforms.
• Consolidate candidate, client and activity data into reliable single‑source‑of‑truth systems.
• Build and manage Python and n8n automation workflows for recruitment operations, data syncing and reporting.
• Create AI‑agent and Claude‑based workflows that automate research, data processing and repetitive tasks.
• Deploy, monitor and optimise services, tracking usage, costs, latency and errors.
• Serve as the technical backbone, preserving institutional knowledge across the stack.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience delivering production backend systems, preferably with Python and FastAPI.
• Strong understanding of data structures, RESTful APIs and clean architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with Backend‑as‑a‑Service platforms such as Supabase or Firebase.
• Familiarity with API hosting/deployment platforms like Render, Railway or Heroku.
• Proven ability to build automation workflows in n8n or a comparable tool.
• Effective prompting and critical evaluation of Claude (or Claude Code) outputs.
• Ability to learn Salesforce quickly if not already experienced.
