Backend Software Engineer – Python/Django

About the role

We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer specialized in Python and Django to join SoftOpsHub’s engineering team in Lahore. You will design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend services and APIs that power our scalable digital products. This role offers the chance to work on micro‑services architecture and collaborate closely with product, frontend, and QA teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Python and Django.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and micro‑services.
• Write clean, efficient, well‑documented code.
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, and QA engineers.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of hands‑on experience with Python and Django.
• Strong understanding of backend development principles and software engineering best practices.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs.
• Good knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Proficiency with Git version control.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Self‑motivated with a desire to learn and grow.
