About the role

Riphah International University is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Engineer to join its hospital facilities in Rawalpindi. The role focuses on setting up, operating, and maintaining a wide range of medical instruments and ensuring the safe delivery of medical gases throughout the campus.

Key responsibilities

• Install hospital instruments and biomedical equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and university protocols.
• Operate and perform regular maintenance on biomedical devices to guarantee continuous functionality and safety.
• Monitor, regulate, and maintain medical gas systems to meet health‑and‑safety standards.
• Conduct routine testing, calibration, and performance verification of equipment.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to biomedical instrumentation.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and gas system checks.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and technical staff to ensure seamless operation of medical technologies.
• Support compliance with regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and quality assurance standards.
• Assist in training hospital staff on proper use of biomedical equipment when required.
• Provide technical input during equipment selection and procurement processes.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in a medical or biological engineering environment.
• Detail‑oriented with a strong focus on safety and reliability.
• Ability to work closely with healthcare and technical teams.
