About the role

We are looking for a meticulous and detail‑oriented Bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records and daily operations for US‑based clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, hands‑on experience managing payables and receivables, and proficiency in relevant software tools. Operating as a key member for North American businesses, this professional will ensure smooth month‑end closing, precise account reconciliations, and clean document trails while acting as a reliable financial partner across internal teams and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date financial records and bookkeeping entries.
• Record and reconcile daily financial transactions, including monthly bank and credit‑card reconciliations.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records to ensure complete ledger integrity.
• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) cycles.
• Prepare and maintain invoices, bills, and payment records while monitoring outstanding balances.
• Assist with payroll‑related bookkeeping and expense tracking as needed.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes and prepare information required for tax filings and audits.
• Prepare basic financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash‑flow reports.
• Maintain organized documentation for financial transactions, preserve confidentiality, and perform other accounting or administrative duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 2+ years of hands‑on bookkeeping or similar accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, AP/AR, reconciliations, financial reporting, and document management.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally in a remote setting.
