Business Analyst – Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Business Analyst with 4‑6 years of experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) and medical billing. The role bridges business stakeholders, product teams, and engineering to deliver scalable, user‑centric healthcare technology solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, document, and manage business, functional, and system requirements.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, workshops, and requirement‑gathering meetings.
• Create and maintain BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze and optimize RCM workflows, identifying automation and efficiency opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, QA, UI/UX designers, and business stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
• Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, UAT, and release readiness activities.
• Perform gap, root‑cause, impact analyses and business process mapping.
• Support solution design discussions to ensure alignment between requirements and technical implementation.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of experience in Business Analysis within Healthcare IT or RCM.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proven ability to translate complex business needs into clear functional specifications.
• Experience with process improvement, workflow automation, and operational efficiency initiatives.

Required skills

• Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (Eligibility Verification, Prior Authorization, Claims Lifecycle, Claim Adjudication, Payment Posting, ERA Processing, Denial Management, Accounts Receivable, Patient Billing & Collections).
• Knowledge of payer‑provider workflows, reimbursement models, and revenue optimization.
• Familiarity with EDI transactions (270/271, 276/277, 278, 837, 835) and clearinghouse integrations.
• Ability to create wireframes, workflow diagrams, process maps, user journeys, and low‑to‑medium fidelity prototypes.
