Business Development Executive – Upwork Bidder

About the role

Busona is looking for a proactive Upwork Bidder to act as the first point of contact with potential clients. You will craft tailored, persuasive proposals that turn leads into projects and help shape the agency’s growth on the Upwork platform.

Key responsibilities

• Search and identify relevant Upwork job postings daily that match Busona’s services.
• Write highly personalized, compelling proposals for each opportunity.
• Keep Busona’s Upwork profile optimized and up‑to‑date.
• Maintain a tracker of bids, client responses, and conversion outcomes using Notion or Google Sheets.
• Collaborate with internal leads to gather portfolio pieces, case studies, and pricing for proposals.
• Follow up with interested leads and support discovery calls.
• Flag high‑potential opportunities and contribute to pitch strategy.
• Document successes and failures to continuously improve win rates.

Required profile

• Empathetic communicator who understands client needs.
• Curious researcher able to ask the right questions.
• Go‑getter attitude with a proactive, ownership‑driven mindset.
• 1‑2 years proven experience bidding on Upwork for design, tech, or creative agencies.
• Good understanding of UX design, web development, or digital services.
• Experience tracking bid activity, response rates, and conversions.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
