Business Development Executive (Upwork & Freelance Sales)

About the role

Rankviz is looking for a results-driven Business Development Executive based in Johar Town, Lahore. The role focuses on lead generation, proposal writing and client acquisition through Upwork and other freelance platforms, including identifying business opportunities, securing projects and building long-term client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, optimise and maintain Upwork and freelance marketplace profiles.
• Identify relevant project opportunities and submit high-converting proposals.
• Generate qualified leads and turn prospects into long-term clients.
• Communicate with international clients to understand their project requirements.
• Negotiate pricing, scope and timelines to close deals.
• Maintain client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
• Collaborate with internal teams so client requirements match service delivery.
• Track sales performance and help shape business growth strategies.

Required profile

• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in business development, Upwork bidding and freelance platform sales.
• Proven track record of generating leads and closing projects.
• Self-motivated, target-oriented and able to work independently.
• Flexibility to coordinate with clients across US, UK and Australian time zones.

Required skills

• Strong English communication, negotiation and client management skills.
• Excellent proposal writing and business correspondence.
• Preferred: experience selling digital services such as SEO, web development, PPC, content writing or digital marketing.
• Preferred: familiarity with CRM tools and sales pipelines, and understanding of freelance marketplace algorithms and bidding strategies.
