Business Development Executive - Upwork

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Business Development Executive to drive growth on the Upwork platform. You will be responsible for identifying high‑value projects, crafting compelling proposals, and converting leads into long‑term clients for our digital services portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Research and bid on high‑quality Upwork projects that match our service offerings.
• Write personalized, persuasive proposals that differentiate us from competitors.
• Engage with prospective clients, answer inquiries, and participate in discovery calls to capture project requirements.
• Negotiate scope, pricing, and timelines to secure new contracts.
• Maintain and optimize the company’s Upwork profile to increase visibility and win rates.
• Coordinate with the creative team to ensure smooth handover after a sale.
• Contribute ideas and strategies to expand overall business development efforts.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of proven experience in Upwork business development and proposal bidding.
• Demonstrated track record of winning projects on Upwork.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Confidence in interacting with international clients and understanding their business needs.
• Strategic mindset focused on long‑term growth beyond individual bids.
