Business Development Manager – Ophthalmic Products

About the role

Ophth Pharma Pvt. Ltd., a Pakistani pharmaceutical company focused on ophthalmic and related products, is hiring a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager in Karachi. The role identifies and pursues new business opportunities, builds strategic relationships with healthcare providers, distributors and institutional clients, and expands market presence for the company's products.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and expand market presence.
• Build strategic relationships with healthcare providers, distributors and institutional clients.
• Conduct market analysis and develop and execute sales and growth strategies.
• Prepare proposals and presentations, and negotiate contracts and pricing agreements.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing and production teams to align business plans with product capabilities and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor performance metrics, prepare regular reports for leadership, and take part in industry events to strengthen the brand and partnerships.

Required profile

• Demonstrated skills in business development, sales planning and relationship management, with the ability to build long-term client partnerships.
• Experience in market research, competitive analysis and strategic planning.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of the pharmaceutical, healthcare or ophthalmic sector, including products such as drops, ointments, injections and surgical supplies.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Pharmacy or a related field; an advanced degree or certification in healthcare or pharmaceutical management is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site, manage multiple initiatives and meet targets within timelines.
• Professional fluency in English; proficiency in local languages spoken in Karachi is beneficial.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM tools, MS Office and reporting dashboards to track leads, manage pipelines and present performance insights.
