Business Development Officer

About the role

The Business Development Officer will expand Azzam International Tours' reach by building a robust network of sales agents and local promoters across semi‑urban and rural areas. This field‑focused role combines travel, sales, and community engagement to drive bookings for travel products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, recruit and onboard sales agents and local promoters in villages, towns and neighborhoods.
• Maintain regular relationships with agents through visits, coaching, provision of marketing materials and performance feedback.
• Achieve monthly sales targets by driving agent sign‑ups, monitoring bookings and launching micro‑marketing initiatives.
• Plan efficient daily and weekly routes across assigned territories using a motorcycle; document visits and outcomes.
• Keep accurate visit logs, track agent performance and submit concise reports on time.
• Deliver brief, practical onboarding and coaching sessions to non‑technical agents.
• Handle agent and customer queries, escalating issues when necessary and ensuring resolution.

Required profile

• Confident rider on semi‑urban and rural roads with basic motorbike maintenance knowledge.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills to build trust quickly across age groups.
• Proven experience meeting sales targets, recruiting or managing sales agents and explaining product features and pricing.
• Organised with the ability to maintain logs, track performance and submit reports punctually.
• Good understanding of local market dynamics, travel preferences and seasonal demand.
• Problem‑solving mindset with a customer‑oriented approach.
