Category Manager - Amazon

About the role

An experienced Amazon Category Manager is sought to manage the product portfolio, overseeing product strategy, research, sourcing, supply chain coordination and marketing initiatives to drive business growth and profitability across Amazon marketplaces. The position is based in Karachi.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end product portfolio, from research and selection to launch and growth
• Identify market opportunities through competitor analysis, market trends, customer insights and product performance
• Develop product strategies, pricing, positioning and portfolio expansion plans
• Oversee product sourcing, supplier coordination, negotiations and procurement
• Work with supply chain and inventory teams to ensure product availability and efficient stock management
• Coordinate with marketing and advertising teams on launches, promotions, PPC and brand growth
• Monitor product performance, sales, profitability, margins and inventory health
• Lead and manage the product management team and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and customer experience

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain or a relevant field
• 5-8 years of overall product management experience, preferably in Amazon or e-commerce
• Experience managing product lifecycles, supplier relationships and cross-functional teams

Required skills

• Strong understanding of Amazon marketplace operations, product research, sourcing and portfolio management
• Commercial acumen on pricing, margins, sales and profitability
• Analytical, strategic planning and team management skills
