Communications Manager

About the role

The Communications Manager will lead the development and execution of both internal and external communication strategies for ASA Microfinance Bank. This role is pivotal in enhancing the bank’s reputation, building stakeholder confidence, and driving employee engagement through consistent and transparent messaging.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement internal communication programs that align with business objectives and promote employee engagement.
• Lead internal campaigns, leadership messaging, and ensure consistent messaging across the organization.
• Execute external communication strategies, manage media relations, corporate announcements, press releases, speeches, and thought‑leadership content.
• Support crisis communication efforts with timely and accurate responses.
• Maintain brand consistency across all corporate publications, reports, events, and external materials.
• Monitor media coverage and stakeholder sentiment, providing insights to senior management.
• Serve as primary contact for ATL and BTL agencies, overseeing deliverables, timelines, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with creative, media, production, and other vendors to ensure timely execution of campaigns.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate communications or public relations.
• Strong stakeholder and relationship management abilities.
• Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills.
• Sound judgment, discretion, and capability to handle crisis communications.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and external partners effectively.
