Communications Specialist

About the role
The Communications Specialist will lead the creation, editing, and management of high‑quality institutional communications that support the school’s strategic objectives, stakeholder engagement, and reputation. Working closely with academic and administrative leaders, the role ensures all written outputs are clear, accurate, consistent, and aligned with institutional standards.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, edit, and manage official correspondence, reports, briefing notes, position papers, speeches, and executive communications.
- Prepare comprehensive academic, strategic, and operational reports for senior leadership, governing bodies, external stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Develop and maintain professional business communications such as letters, memoranda, meeting summaries, announcements, policy communications, and stakeholder updates.
- Draft, review, and coordinate institutional agreements, including MoUs, partnership agreements, and collaboration frameworks.
- Prepare formal responses and submissions to regulatory bodies, accreditation agencies, government entities, and external organisations.
- Translate complex academic, legal, operational, and strategic information into clear, audience‑appropriate written materials.
- Support leadership in developing communication strategies, key messaging, briefing materials, and stakeholder engagement plans.
- Coordinate with academic, administrative, legal, and external stakeholders to gather information, verify content, and ensure consistency.
- Review and edit institutional documents to maintain quality, coherence, accuracy, and adherence to branding guidelines.
- Maintain records of official correspondence, reports, agreements, and communication outputs.
- Provide communications support for committees, working groups, and meetings, including agenda preparation, minutes, and follow‑up correspondence.
- Monitor emerging issues, policy developments, and stakeholder concerns, preparing analytical briefs and recommendations for senior management.
Required profile
- Exceptional writing ability with a strong command of expository style.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience drafting institutional documents, reports, agreements, and official correspondence.
- Ability to translate complex information into clear, concise written material for diverse audiences.
