Corporate/M&A Attorney (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Corporate/M&A Attorney to join our client’s remote team on a contract basis. The attorney will review, analyze, and annotate corporate, mergers & acquisitions, and financial documents, ensuring compliance with data‑privacy and regulatory standards. Your legal expertise will directly support the training of next‑generation AI models.

Key responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and annotate corporate, M&A, and financial documents for compliance with data‑privacy and regulatory standards.
• Identify personally identifiable information (PII) exposure risks and document best practices for anonymization and sensitive data handling.
• Provide guidance on structural identifiability of content to preserve data utility for AI training while maintaining compliance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop training materials that reflect current regulatory frameworks.
• Maintain detailed documentation of compliance measures and data‑handling procedures for audit and review purposes.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in a state bar association.
• Minimum three years of experience in corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, or financial services with a focus on compliance and data privacy.
• Strong understanding of PII exposure risks, anonymization techniques, and regulatory frameworks such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of documenting best practices for non‑legal stakeholders.
