Creative Lead, Organic & Social

About the role

The client, a fast‑growing Series A AI startup, seeks a senior Creative Lead to own the creative direction of organic social content. This hands‑on role involves developing concepts, guiding a multidisciplinary team, and collaborating closely with social, community, and product marketing.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of designers, motion designers, video editors, and other creative contributors.
• Own creative direction and quality across organic social channels.
• Develop original concepts for product launches, announcements, events, brand moments, and recurring series.
• Translate ideas into briefs, scripts, storyboards and reference materials for execution.
• Provide clear, actionable feedback on design, motion, video editing, storytelling, pacing, typography and composition.
• Research competitors and creative trends in AI, tech, creator and entertainment brands, identifying new formats to test.
• Build repeatable creative formats and systems for high‑quality, fast‑paced content.
• Coach the creative team through regular feedback and clear expectations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in creative direction, social creative, content, design, video or related fields.
• Proven experience managing and directing multidisciplinary creative teams.
• Strong portfolio of social‑first work across design, motion and video.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working Pacific Time core hours (10 am‑3 pm PT) and thriving in a fast‑moving environment.

Required skills

• Generative AI knowledge and experience with AI image and video tools.
• Design, motion graphics and video editing expertise.
• Understanding of creative requirements across Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube and other platforms.
