Customer Engineer – Data Security Posture Management

About the role

We’re seeking a technically fluent Customer Engineer to join our Engineering organization and act as a critical link between Engineering and Go‑to‑Market (GTM) teams. Embedded within the Development organization, the role focuses on helping GTM teams understand, configure, and support deployments of our Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) platform. Although not directly customer‑facing, the position requires deep product knowledge to support pre‑sales and post‑sales activities.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a technical liaison between Engineering and GTM teams, providing product knowledge, tooling, and deployment support.
• Translate new feature details and system behaviors into documentation, enablement content, demo environments, and internal tooling.
• Assist in internal setup and deployment of DSPM components (Kubernetes‑based microservices, data connectors, APIs) and validate staging/demo environments.
• Create technical resources such as playbooks, integration guides, and architecture diagrams for field enablement.
• Support GTM teams with API usage, Python or shell scripting, and basic troubleshooting during proof‑of‑concept or pilot phases.
• Read, interpret, and occasionally modify basic code or configuration files (YAML, JSON, Python) to debug issues.
• Validate deployment workflows across AWS, GCP, and Azure to ensure alignment with field practices.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in a technical role within an engineering or product‑focused organization (e.g., dev support, sales enablement, QA, technical consulting).
• Strong understanding of modern cloud‑native stacks, including Kubernetes, containerized services, and major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with data infrastructure such as SQL databases, data lakes, and data warehouses.
• Proficiency in basic scripting (Python or shell) for automation, API interaction, and testing.
• Ability to read and understand application code and configuration files (Python, YAML, JSON) for troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication skills to synthesize technical concepts for internal enablement.
