Cybersecurity Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join a global leader in the Information Services industry on a contract basis. The role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while performing penetration testing and vulnerability assessments for critical infrastructure and sensitive data.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive security assessments, including network, web application, and API penetration testing.
• Execute vulnerability scans, analyze results, and identify security weaknesses.
• Develop and execute custom exploits to validate risks and simulate real‑world attack scenarios.
• Prepare detailed reports outlining vulnerabilities, exploitation steps, and remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to triage findings and verify remediation efforts.

Required profile

• Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, or Metasploit.
• Experience scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation and tool development.
• Knowledge of security frameworks like OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK, and CIS benchmarks.
• Familiarity with network protocols, Windows/Linux operating systems, and cloud security principles.
• Strong analytical abilities and clear communication of technical findings.
