Cybersecurity Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join a leading information services firm on a contract basis. The role focuses on performing penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to protect critical infrastructure and sensitive data.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security assessments, including network, web application, and API penetration testing.
• Run vulnerability scans, analyze results, and identify security weaknesses.
• Develop and execute custom exploits to validate risks and simulate real‑world attacks.
• Document findings in detailed reports with remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to triage findings and verify remediation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
• Strong analytical ability to interpret technical data and communicate findings clearly.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as OWASP Top 10, MITRE ATT&CK, and CIS benchmarks.
• Understanding of network protocols, Windows/Linux operating systems, and cloud security principles.
