Data Migration Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Data Migration Consultant to join our team in Faisalabad. You will be responsible for moving business data securely and efficiently between systems while ensuring data quality and minimal disruption to operations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse source and target systems, data structures, fields and dependencies to define migration scope.
• Develop migration plans, mapping documents, transformation rules and validation procedures.
• Extract, cleanse, transform, reconcile and load data, maintaining accuracy and completeness.
• Identify data quality issues, investigate discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with stakeholders.
• Perform testing, user‑acceptance support, cut‑over activities and post‑migration verification.
• Prepare technical documentation, progress updates, risk logs and hand‑over materials.
• Collaborate with project teams and client stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver reliable results.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with data migration, ETL processes or systems integration.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines and protect confidential information.

Required skills

• SQL for querying, profiling, cleansing and validation.
• Understanding of relational databases, data models, schemas and APIs.
• Familiarity with Excel and at least one ETL, scripting, cloud or database migration tool.
• Knowledge of data governance principles and data‑quality techniques.
