Data Protection Specialist – Remote (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Data Protection Specialist to join a leading AI organization on a contract basis. The role focuses on ensuring that personal data used to train next‑generation AI systems is handled lawfully and securely. This is a fully remote position offering the chance to influence privacy practices for cutting‑edge AI models.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and manage PII compliance protocols to protect personal data.
• Evaluate data flows, classify risks, and mitigate structural identifiability issues.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop, review, and update data management and privacy policies.
• Provide guidance and training on sensitive document handling and data protection best practices.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with relevant regulations, including GDPR.

Required profile

• Proven experience in PII compliance and data protection, preferably within AI or machine‑learning contexts.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities to identify and mitigate privacy risks.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑team collaboration and training.
• Familiarity with data protection regulations such as GDPR.
