Database Administrator (Remote)

About the role

QMCC is seeking a full‑time remote Database Administrator to install, configure, and maintain its database environments. The DBA will ensure high availability, optimal performance, and robust security for production, test, and development systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, monitor, and maintain database platforms across all environments.
• Perform upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal disruption.
• Monitor health, resolve performance issues, and conduct capacity planning.
• Develop and execute backup, recovery, and disaster‑recovery strategies.
• Manage security controls, user access, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain data integrity, support governance initiatives, and produce documentation.
• Provide technical support and collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, and business users.
• Participate in project planning, implementation, and testing activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Database Administrator.
• Strong understanding of database availability, performance, and security best practices.
• Ability to work closely with IT, application teams, and business stakeholders.
