Demand Planning Lead – Consumer Electronics

About the role

As Demand Planning Lead you will own the end‑to‑end planning for the Device Accessories category, covering demand, supply and inventory health across cases, screen protectors, accessories and wireless chargers. You will represent the category to senior leadership and manage a team of planners.

Key responsibilities

• Own NPD demand planning for device launches, including initial forecasts, assumptions, IOQ and scenario‑based cash exposure.
• Manage launch allocation, weekly top‑ups and Amazon restocks, and track performance by range, colour and channel.
• Maintain monthly forecast updates, quarterly corrections and re‑ordering for existing SKUs.
• Run weekly overstock checks, partner with Commercial on pricing/discounting, and clear excess and obsolete stock.
• Coordinate stock movements, hub‑to‑warehouse and Amazon transfers, and inter‑warehouse transfers.
• Lead retail planning, retail NPD forecasts, allocations and re‑orders, and set stock priority rules.
• Own category KPIs – Availability, Forecast Accuracy and E&O – and embed the monthly S&OP cycle.
• Drive SKU portfolio productivity by simplifying the range and reducing low‑MOQ complexity.
• Line‑manage, coach and develop one Demand Planner.

Required profile

• 5–8 years’ experience in demand planning, category planning or S&OP for a fast‑moving, high‑SKU category.
• Proven ownership of a monthly end‑to‑end planning cycle and launch forecasting without sales history.
• Strong analytical mindset, data‑backed decision making and ability to handle launch‑week pressure.
• Excellent communication, cultural awareness and collaboration across UK, Pakistan and China teams.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel – handling large datasets (1,000+ SKUs), building models and turning data into insight.
• Understanding of MOQs, lead times, capacity, freight modes and their impact on plans.
• Ability to quantify trade‑offs between availability and excess & obsolete stock in units, cash and margin.
