Department Manager - Non-Food, Office & Media

About the role

METRO Pakistan (Pvt) Limited, part of METRO Group's METRO Cash & Carry wholesale business, is hiring a Department Manager for its non-food Office & Media department in Lahore. The role reports to the Customer Experience Manager (CEM) and covers stock ordering, department leadership and sales support.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with stock ordering and maintain optimum stock levels in the department.
• Lead Store Associates in mass merchandising, shelf management, stock management and departmental cleanliness.
• Drive productivity improvement and enhance operational efficiency.
• Assist the Floor Manager in achieving departmental sales targets.
• Ensure overnight department preparation follows Dark Store Operations (DSO) protocols and readiness before store opening.
• Ensure product presentation complies with the planogram and secondary displays follow BMPL guidelines.
• Ensure all departmental activities comply with SOPs, company policies and applicable protocols.
• Maintain punctuality, discipline and professional attire in line with uniform guidelines.
• Conduct QA checks using defined protocols and checklists to maintain quality standards.
• Monitor product expiry dates during and after deliveries and ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
• Ensure timely stock reordering according to customer demand.

Required profile

• Graduation with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
