Department Manager – Repair & Maintenance

About the role

The Department Manager – Repair & Maintenance will oversee all building‑related services for METRO Pakistan’s wholesale stores. You will ensure that contractors deliver quality work on time, maintain safety standards, and support the efficient operation of the facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and verify timely execution of contractor obligations, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Respond promptly to any contractor performance issues and enforce corrective actions.
• Maintain an inventory of spare parts required for routine maintenance tasks.
• Accept completed work, sign acceptance acts or Service Entry Sheets, and keep accurate records.
• Conduct regular building inspections and report needs for new services.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations, such as CDA requirements.
• Implement and maintain fire safety and industrial safety procedures within the stores.
• Review energy‑management data, take actions to reduce consumption, and prepare related reports.
• Maintain up‑to‑date engineering documentation, service contracts, and documents required for state inspections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Intermediate qualification.
• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a similar field.
