Deputy Manager Electrical Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Deputy Manager Electrical Maintenance to lead the electrical maintenance function of a power plant. This permanent position is responsible for ensuring optimal performance, safety, and reliability of all electrical assets.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and supervise preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance for all electrical systems, including GIS and auxiliary equipment.
• Direct troubleshooting, conduct fault analysis, perform root‑cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Enforce electrical safety standards such as NFPA 70E, Permit‑to‑Work and Lockout‑Tagout procedures.
• Manage electrical scope for plant shutdowns, overhauls and modification projects, delivering on time and within budget.
• Develop and maintain maintenance procedures, technical documentation and testing plans in line with OEM and plant standards.
• Monitor KPIs, drive reliability improvement initiatives and prepare technical reports for audits.
• Oversee maintenance budgets, manpower planning, critical spare‑parts inventory and material forecasting.
• Supervise contractors and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
• Lead emergency fault restoration and system recovery during electrical disturbances.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) or Associate Degree in Electrical Technology.
• Minimum 5 years progressive experience in electrical maintenance within power‑plant operations.
• Certified Electrical Technician (CET) or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
• Proven leadership and team‑development abilities.

• Electrical systems maintenance (preventive, predictive, corrective).

• PLC programming and SCADA system experience.
• Motor control and power distribution expertise.
• Reading and interpreting schematic diagrams.
