Deputy Manager Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a proactive and technically strong Deputy Manager Maintenance to lead maintenance operations across our production facilities. The role focuses on maximizing equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement in a food manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day maintenance of production lines, utilities and plant equipment.
• Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Diagnose complex technical issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Monitor and improve utility systems such as HVAC, boilers, compressors, refrigeration, generators and electrical distribution.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, GMP, occupational safety and LOTO procedures.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders and spare‑parts inventory.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, Supply Chain and Engineering to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Coach and develop maintenance engineers, supervisors and technicians.
• Analyse KPIs, downtime trends and reliability data to drive improvements.
• Assist with budgeting, cost control, vendor management and procurement of technical services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 5‑8 years of industrial maintenance experience, including at least 2 years in food, FMCG or industrial bakery environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with troubleshooting production equipment.
• Proven leadership and team‑development abilities.
