Deputy Manager – Mechanical (Boiler & Water Treatment)

About the role

The Deputy Manager Mechanical will lead the maintenance of boilers, auxiliaries, and associated water‑treatment equipment to ensure uninterrupted power generation. This role combines hands‑on technical supervision with planning, budgeting, and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and service boilers, pumps, and mechanical accessories in the water‑treatment plant and HFO day tank.
• Plan, supervise, and execute forced and scheduled outages in coordination with operations.
• Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for equipment maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including monthly and SAP reports.
• Prepare the annual departmental budget, manage spares inventory, and process purchase requisitions.
• Ensure compliance with BQPS‑I safety rules, permit‑to‑work system, and promote a zero‑LTI environment.
• Lead and support maintenance staff, handling attendance, leave, and administrative matters.

Required profile

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year experience in the power sector, preferably thermal.
• Demonstrated ability to plan preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Experience in budgeting, spares management, and safety compliance.
