Desarrollador/a RPG – Remote (5‑month project)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced RPG developer to join our remote team for a five‑month contract. You will work on critical business applications running on IBM i (AS/400) platforms, contributing to continuous improvement and delivering high‑impact solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain business applications on IBM i using RPG.
• Design, optimize and refactor programs and SQL queries for IBM i databases.
• Integrate RPG applications with other corporate systems and services.
• Implement enhancements, resolve incidents and ensure solution stability.
• Follow best development practices, manage version control and produce technical documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience as an RPG developer.
• Strong interest in robust technologies, process optimisation and delivering high‑value solutions.
• Ability to work remotely and collaborate effectively with a distributed team.

Required skills

• RPG IV and RPG Free.
• Control Language (CL) and Data Description Specifications (DDS).
• SQL on IBM i.
• DB2/IBM i database knowledge.
• File transfer protocols (FTP/SFTP).
• Rational Developer for i (RDi).
• Git version control.
