DevOps Engineer – Remote – $100,000/year

About the role

You will be the engineer who stabilises a portfolio of 50+ SaaS products, entering unknown AWS environments, restoring order and driving uptime above 99.9%. Using AI‑enhanced tooling, you will explore, document and automate systems to make recurring incidents impossible.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex infrastructure migrations, consolidations, production‑level automations and monitoring enhancements across multiple SaaS products.
• Respond to production outages, deploy immediate remediation, and draft root‑cause analyses with permanent fixes delegated to accountable teams.
• Author, review and execute production changes, assessing risk and defining rollback criteria.
• Design and own deployment pipelines from development through staged rollouts, including 10% canary releases and full production deployments.
• Create and maintain runbooks, monitoring dashboards and automated defenses.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale SaaS platforms in AWS.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills under pressure, with a focus on root‑cause analysis (5‑Whys).
• Strong discipline in breaking projects into single‑day deliverables and delivering reliable automation.
• Daily use of AI tools to accelerate investigation and remediation.
