Electrical Engineer – Building Construction Projects

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Electrical Engineer to join Al Awan Electric Works and Construction Co. in Karachi. The role focuses on the execution, supervision and coordination of electrical works for building construction projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, safety standards and project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee installation and execution of electrical systems including MCCs, ACPs, drives, cable sizing, breaker selection and load calculations.
• Manage HT/LT systems, transformers and diesel generators, handling installation, testing and commissioning.
• Supervise ELV systems such as CCTV, fire alarm, access control, public address, LAN/WLAN infrastructure and BMS.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Prepare and review technical documents, shop drawings and inspection reports.
• Monitor site activities, troubleshoot issues and enforce safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in building construction projects, preferably in Karachi.
• Strong technical knowledge of MCCs, ACPs, HT/LT systems and ELV solutions.
• Familiarity with elevators, BMS and integrated building systems.
