Electrical Engineer – Maintenance (Process Industry)

About the role

The Electrical Engineer – Maintenance will lead the planning, execution, and reliability of all electrical maintenance activities in a high‑capacity plant. The role ensures safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations while driving continuous improvement and energy optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance on motors, switchgears, transformers, MCCs, VFDs, power distribution systems and substations.
• Monitor plant electrical performance, troubleshoot LT/HT faults and minimise downtime.
• Lead electrical projects – upgrades, retrofits and new installations – preparing BOQs, technical specifications and meeting timelines.
• Manage critical spares inventory and coordinate procurement.
• Supervise contractors, ensure quality work within budget and promote safe practices.
• Lead the electrical team, foster inter‑departmental coordination and develop staff.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, EHS, IMS, GPM, ISO and food‑safety standards.
• Drive continuous‑improvement projects to conserve energy and optimise processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of maintenance experience in a process‑industry environment (petrochemical, fertilizer, food, cement, etc.).
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, especially SAP, and familiarity with Lean Six Sigma, MS Office, ETAB, AutoCAD and Power BI.
• Good understanding of international EHS, IMS, GPM, ISO and food‑safety standards.
