Electrical Helper – Power Plant Operations

About the role

Wärtsilä is looking for an Electrical Helper to support the operation of its power plant facilities. The role involves assisting with start‑up, shut‑down and routine running of plant systems while ensuring safety, quality and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the plant according to company policies, procedures and operational plans.
• Assist in start‑up, shut‑down and normal operations of power plant systems.
• Optimize processes, flows and settings under guidance from technicians and supervisors.
• Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order.
• Monitor and report task status, complete logs and running records accurately.
• Identify and resolve routine problems; escalate complex issues.
• Perform corrective actions during operational disturbances and emergency procedures.
• Support continuous improvement by suggesting enhancements.
• Maintain a clean and safe plant environment and collaborate with team members.

Required profile

• DAE Electrical qualification.
• 0‑2 years of relevant industrial experience.
• Understanding of workplace safety.
• Experience in a power plant environment is an advantage.
