Electrical Inspector – Low & Medium Voltage (12‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Inspector to lead low‑voltage (LV) and medium‑voltage (MV) system inspections on a 12‑month contract at refinery or petrochemical facilities. The role involves ensuring compliance with IEC standards, local codes, and hazardous‑area requirements throughout installation, testing, and commissioning phases.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and verify LV and MV switchboards, distribution panels, and related equipment against approved drawings and specifications.
• Witness and validate installation, testing, and commissioning of LV/MV systems, including cable terminations, bus‑bar connections, and protective relays.
• Perform insulation resistance, high‑potential, and continuity testing on cables and equipment.
• Review and confirm protection relay settings, coordination studies, and protective device configurations.
• Ensure compliance with hazardous‑area classification and Ex‑certification requirements for LV/MV installations.
• Conduct functional testing such as interlock verification and emergency‑shutdown testing.

Required profile

• B.E. in Electrical Engineering.
• IEC certification or a minimum of 10 years’ experience inspecting LV and MV electrical systems in refineries or petrochemical plants.
• In‑depth knowledge of IEC 60364, IEC 60947 and relevant local and international electrical codes.
