Electrician – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking a qualified electrician to join our on‑site construction team in Islamabad. You will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems across residential and commercial projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and local codes.

Key responsibilities

• Install, connect, and commission wiring, fixtures, panels, breakers, conduits, and distribution systems according to drawings and codes.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and site plans to determine layout requirements.
• Perform routine inspections, testing, fault diagnosis, and repair or replacement of components.
• Terminate cables, make connections, and ensure proper grounding and bonding.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, other trades, and project managers to sequence work and meet schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and test results.

Required profile

• Minimum 3–5 years practical experience in building‑construction electrical installation and maintenance.
• Competent with AC/DC systems, single‑phase and three‑phase distribution, breakers, transformers, and motor starters.
• Physical ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and in confined spaces.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for coordination on site.

Required skills

• Conduit bending, cable termination, jointing, and installation of switchboards and distribution panels.
• Proficient reading of electrical drawings, schematic diagrams, and site plans.
• Knowledge of local electrical codes, grounding practices, and safety standards (PPE, lockout/tagout).
• Use of electrical test equipment: multimeter, megger/insulation tester, clamp meter, circuit tracer.
• Strong troubleshooting of intermittent and wiring faults under time constraints.
