Embedded Firmware Engineer

About the role

SiliconNexus is seeking a passionate Embedded Firmware Engineer to design, develop, and optimize firmware for a range of smart products, including IoT devices, robotics, automotive, medical, and industrial applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for microcontroller‑based systems.
• Translate product requirements into robust, scalable embedded solutions.
• Develop, test, debug, and optimize software using modern development tools.
• Collaborate with hardware teams for seamless integration and driver development (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, etc.).
• Implement and optimize communication protocols such as TCP/IP, MQTT, HTTP, CoAP, BLE, Zigbee, Wi‑Fi, and LTE/GSM.
• Perform code reviews, ensure coding standards, and improve system performance and stability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in embedded systems or firmware development.
• Strong analytical, debugging and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• C/C++ programming for embedded applications.
• Microcontrollers such as ESP32, STM32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, NXP, nRF52, IMX6/8, TI controllers.
• Toolchains: GCC, Keil, IAR, PlatformIO.
• RTOS platforms: FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ThreadX, MbedOS.
• Embedded communication interfaces: I2C, SPI, CAN, UART/USART, USB.
• Networking and IoT protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, MQTT, CoAP.
• Wireless technologies: BLE, Zigbee, Wi‑Fi, LTE/GSM.
• Version control with Git.
