Engineering Manager – Lead Software Engineering Team

About the role

You will lead a team of 8‑12 software engineers, driving predictable, high‑quality delivery while fostering a culture of ownership, inclusion, and continuous learning. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will influence technical direction and improve processes across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and mentor engineers, conduct regular 1:1s, and support career growth.
• Lead Agile ceremonies, coach teams on Scrum practices, and improve delivery predictability.
• Identify and remove blockers, manage cross‑team dependencies, and keep engineering momentum.
• Oversee sprint planning, estimation, prioritization, and capacity management.
• Participate in code and architecture discussions, champion best practices, and ensure quality, security, and reliability standards.

Required profile

• Proven people‑leadership experience building inclusive, high‑performing teams.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years as a senior or principal engineer.
• 3+ years managing or leading remote technical teams.
• Strong Agile (Scrum) background with a track record of continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional alignment and stakeholder management.
