English Language Assessor & Trainer

About the role

TRANSLATION EMPIRE is seeking an experienced English Language Assessor & Trainer to join its Rawalpindi office. You will evaluate and enhance the English proficiency of staff, ensuring high‑quality communication with customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct English language assessments for new hires and existing employees (in‑house and third‑party).
• Monitor daily call quality (1‑5 calls per day) and provide feedback.
• Coach and mentor staff on spoken English, vocabulary, pronunciation, and accent.
• Deliver UK‑culture specific customer service training.
• Oversee quality assurance of transcribed files.
• Develop and maintain auto‑scored English proficiency assessments.
• Support ongoing CPD initiatives for customer service and language skills.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in English Literature, Applied Linguistics, Educational Linguistics, Psychology or related field.
• 4‑5 years of English teaching experience, preferably IELTS, PTE or Cambridge exam preparation.
• Certified in IELTS/CEFR, PTE, Oxford English Test and experience with the British Council.
• Experience in accent and grammar coaching is an advantage.
• National or international experience in language assessment is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficient written and spoken English.
• Familiarity with UK English dialect.
