EV Charging Software Technical Lead (OCPP/OCPI)

About the role

Soluxia Energy is expanding into EV charging software and network management. We are looking for a Technical Lead with hands‑on experience developing and deploying charging station management systems (CSMS) to drive platform development, charger integration and testing.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services, databases and APIs for charger management, user access, billing and reporting.
• Develop and test OCPP charger communications (1.6J or 2.0.1) and OCPI network integrations.
• Build remote monitoring, fault alerts, diagnostics and charger‑control functions, including dynamic load management.
• Integrate payment gateways, RFID authentication and third‑party systems.
• Plan charger onboarding, platform migration, data export and cloud deployment with security, backup and recovery procedures.
• Lead testing with physical chargers and simulators, and produce technical documentation and delivery estimates.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing or operating a live EV charging‑management platform.
• Hands‑on implementation of OCPP 1.6J and/or OCPP 2.0.1, plus OCPI integrations.
• Strong backend development background in Java, Python, Node.js.NET or Go.
• Practical knowledge of WebSockets, REST APIs, databases and cloud deployment.
• Ability to define architecture, estimate work and lead technical delivery.
• Relevant technical degree or equivalent practical experience.
