Fashion Designer (Contract-Based)

About the role

A growing fashion brand is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Fashion Designer to join on a contract basis, working on a per-project basis. The role covers Pret, luxury Pret, menswear, streetwear and eastern wear, turning trends into wearable, market-ready designs. It is based in Rawalpindi / Islamabad with a hybrid setup.

Key responsibilities

• Create original designs, mood boards, colour palettes and fabric selections according to brand direction
• Develop tech packs, hand and CAD sketches and detailed specifications for the tailoring team
• Research current fashion trends, market demand and competitors
• Coordinate with pattern makers, tailors and vendors for sampling and production
• Ensure designs are delivered on time and attend fittings to check accuracy and quality
• Manage 2-3 collections or articles per month

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Fashion Designer with a strong portfolio
• Degree or diploma in Fashion Design or a related field preferred
• Ability to understand market trends and client preferences, with excellent aesthetics, creativity and attention to detail
• Must meet deadlines and be able to work independently

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW or similar design tools
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, stitching, embroidery and garment construction
