Field Applications Engineer – Molecular Diagnostics (Peshawar)

About the role

The Field Applications Engineer will provide on‑site technical assistance for pre‑ and post‑sale activities of molecular diagnostic products. The role focuses on expanding the user base, ensuring successful instrument installations, and delivering high‑quality customer support across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission, and troubleshoot Cepheid diagnostic systems at customer laboratories.
• Guide customers through assay implementation, validation, and accreditation processes.
• Deliver technical presentations and product demonstrations.
• Provide training on system operation, software, reagents, and connectivity.
• Document installations, training, and support activities in SFDC and capture market intelligence.
• Perform preventive maintenance, reactive repairs, and manage spare‑part inventory.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, scientific affairs, and service teams to address customer needs and develop account strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biology, Molecular Biology or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical, laboratory, or field service role supporting diagnostic instruments.
• Strong customer‑focused attitude with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to travel frequently within the region and work independently.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Cepheid diagnostic instruments.
• Proficiency in using SFDC (Salesforce) for documentation and reporting.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and PC hardware/software troubleshooting.
