Field Service Engineer – On‑site Technical Support

About the role

As a Field Service Engineer you will provide on‑site technical support for Atlas Copco equipment in Karachi, ensuring reliable and safe operation for our customers. You will diagnose, repair and maintain rotary machines such as air compressors, engines and turbines, helping clients achieve maximum uptime.

Key responsibilities

• Perform start‑ups, breakdown support, preventive maintenance and repairs on customer equipment.
• Prepare detailed service reports and communicate findings to the Service Engineer.
• Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure compliance with Atlas Copco quality and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of installed equipment, customer data and machine park database.
• Support warranty claims, service issues and customer inquiries.
• Utilise digital service tools and management information systems to improve efficiency.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental policies and promote a strong safety culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum three years of hands‑on experience with rotary equipment, preferably air compressors, engines or turbines.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
