Field Service Specialist – Valves & Hydraulics

About the role

You will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning critical valve and high‑pressure hydraulic control systems used in gas and steam turbines. The position supports planned outages, commissioning projects, and emergency service calls to ensure safe and reliable operation of rotating equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, dismantle, refurbish, and overhaul industrial and turbine‑related valves (control, stop, bypass, safety relief, fuel gas, actuator‑operated).
• Perform valve lapping, calibration, pressure testing and detailed troubleshooting.
• Maintain, repair, test and commission high‑pressure hydraulic systems, including pumps, accumulators, cylinders, actuators, manifolds and control blocks.
• Execute hydraulic oil flushing, cleanliness verification, pressure testing and operate HYTORC/ITH tensioning equipment.
• Interpret P&IDs, mechanical drawings and hydraulic schematics to support maintenance and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with EHS, FME and lifting/rigging standards while keeping accurate service reports and quality documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 3–5 years of field service experience in power generation, oil & gas, manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Proven experience with valve inspection, overhaul, calibration and commissioning.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for complex mechanical, hydraulic and electro‑hydraulic systems.
• Fluent written and spoken English with ability to produce technical documentation.
