About the role
The client, a well‑known tobacco company, seeks an experienced Finance & Taxation Manager to operate from its Lahore office while travelling fortnightly to Islamabad and Mardan.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and file corporate tax returns and manage sales tax adjustments.
- Oversee daily and monthly account closing processes.
- Interact with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and handle related bureaucratic procedures.
- Coordinate import‑export documentation and support shipment logistics.
Required profile
- Minimum 8 years of finance and taxation experience, preferably in the tobacco industry.
- Ability to work late hours during peak shipment periods.
- Strong connections within local bureaucracy are advantageous.
Required skills
- Corporate tax filing.
- Daily and monthly account closing.
- Use of FBR portals.
- Sales tax adjustment handling.
- Knowledge of accounting loopholes and tax adjustments.
- Import‑export experience.
